Step 01

Measure appointment.

A certified HDMS measurer comes to your home to confirm dimensions, check the sub-floor, and document any transitions, thresholds, or obstacles.

What to prepare

  • Clear a walking path to each room being measured.
  • Note any areas of sub-floor concern (soft spots, moisture).
  • Have an adult 18+ home for the full 30–45 minute window.

Step 02

Scheduling & material confirmation.

Once materials arrive at our warehouse, our scheduling team calls you to pick an install date. You'll get a 4-hour arrival window.

What to expect

  • Call arrives 3–7 days on average after you finalize purchase at Home Depot.
  • Windows available Monday–Saturday, 8 AM to 3 PM start.
  • You'll get the scheduling confirmation by text & email.

Step 03

Pre-install call.

Your lead installer personally calls when en route to confirm the arrival window, answer questions, and flag anything unusual.

  • Do I need to move anything you won't move?
  • Will you need access to electricity & a water source?
  • Where's the best place to park the work truck?
  • Is there anything about my sub-floor I should know?

Step 04

Install day.

The crew arrives, confirms parking, displays their authorization badges, walks the space with you, protects adjacent rooms, removes the old floor, and installs the new one.

What's often included

  • Moving standard furniture (beds, dressers, couches).
  • Removing & disposing of the existing floor.
  • Baseboard removal and reinstallation where applicable.
  • Sweeping & vacuuming the room before they leave.

What's not

  • Pianos, safes, aquariums, or wall-mounted electronics.
  • Plumbing disconnection (we'll coordinate if needed).
  • Sub-floor replacement beyond minor patching.

Step 05

Corner-by-corner walkthrough.

Before they leave, the lead installer walks every room with you. This is your moment to flag any seam, transition, or edge that doesn't look right. No rush.

What to check

  • Transitions at doorways — flat, flush, no gaps.
  • Seams — should be tight and nearly invisible.
  • Corners & baseboards — even reveal all the way around.
  • Carpet stretch — no ripples or loose edges.

Step 06

24-hour follow-up.

After the install, our customer care team calls to confirm everything still looks right once you've lived on it. Anything you noticed? We fix it.

Warranty coverage

  • 1 year on all Cooper workmanship.
  • Product warranties per manufacturer (Home Depot honors these).
