Do you service my ZIP code?

Cooper installs across TX, OK, LA, NM, KS, NE, MO, MS, and AR. Most metros are within our service area, but a handful of remote ZIPs aren't. The fastest check is our ZIP lookup is a quick call to (972) 245-3766.

How long does it take from purchase to install?

Typical timeline is 7–21 days. Measure happens 2–5 days after purchase, materials arrive at our warehouse 5–10 days after that, or are delivered to your house, and you'll pick your install date once everything's confirmed.

Do I need to move my furniture?

We move standard furniture (beds, dressers, couches, tables) as part of a standard install. You're responsible for pianos, safes, aquariums, wall-mounted electronics, and small valuables. We will confirm all items during scheduling.

Can I reschedule my install date?

Yes — please call at least 48 hours before your window.

Will you haul away my old flooring?

Yes, for all standard installs. Hazardous materials (pet soiled, for example) are typically not handled by your installer. This will be reviewed during scheduling.

Do I need to be home for the install?

It's strongly recommended. An adult 18+ needs to be present at arrival and at the final walkthrough. In between, you're free to step out as long as we can reach you by phone.

What time will the installers arrive?

You'll get a 4-hour arrival window — typically 8–12 PAM or 1 PM–4 PM.

How long will the install take?

Carpet: usually one day. LVP & Laminate: 1–4 days. Hardwood: 2–4 days. Tile: 2–4 days. Multi-room jobs scale linearly. Your lead scheduler will give you a tighter estimate on the call.

Can my pets stay in the house?

We ask that pets be secured in a separate room or off-site during install. It's safer for them (tools, staples, adhesives) and keeps the crew moving.

Will there be dust or fumes?

Carpet and floating floors produce minimal dust. Tile and hardwood can kick up dust from cuts and leveling — we use vacuum-equipped tools and drop cloths. Adhesives can have odor for 24–48 hours; open windows and run fans.

What if I don't like a seam or transition?

Speak up on the walkthrough. That's what it's for. Our installers would much rather fix something on the spot than come back for a service call.

Will the floor be walkable right away?

Carpet, LVP, and laminate: immediately. Hardwood (glue-down): 24 hours. Tile: 24–48 hours before walking, 72 hours before heavy furniture on grout.

How do I pay?

Your install was paid through Home Depot at purchase. The only additional charges on install day would be for unexpected sub-floor repair (always quoted and approved by you first) or add-on services.

I noticed something after the crew left. What do I do?

Call (972) 245-3766 or email care@cooperinstallations.com. Our customer care team responds within one business day. Most fixes are handled on a single return visit within 7 days.

How do I care for my new floor?

General rule: vacuum regularly, use manufacturer-approved cleaners, and keep pet nails trimmed.

What's covered by the workmanship warranty?

One year on all Cooper labor — seams, stretch, cuts, transitions, installation defects. Product warranties come from the manufacturer and are honored through Home Depot.

Can I get a free re-stretch on my carpet?

Yes — if any ripples or looseness develop. Just call our main line or the Home Depot and ask.

Can LVP go in a bathroom?

Yes. Modern LVP is 100% waterproof and is a common choice for full bathrooms. We caulk all edges where the floor meets tubs, showers, and toilets to prevent water migration underneath.

Solid or engineered hardwood?

Solid: on grade or above, over a wood sub-floor. Engineered: anywhere, including over concrete and below grade. Engineered is also dimensionally more stable in humid climates.

Do you install heated floors?

We do not offer this service through The Home Depot.

Can I put hardwood over concrete?

Engineered hardwood: yes, with the right moisture barrier and adhesive. Solid hardwood: generally not recommended.

What's the difference between carpet grades?

It's mostly fiber density, twist level, and face weight. Higher density = more durable. The Home Depot associate can walk you through grades; we install every one they sell.

Does laminate feel hollow?

Only if under-laid poorly. Proper underlayment and a flat sub-floor (within 3/16″ over 10 ft) give laminate a solid, quiet feel. Our prep standards are well above minimum.

How do I get a quote or receipt?

All quoting and payment happens at The Home Depot — in-store or via their site. Cooper doesn't issue separate invoices except for add-on sub-floor repairs (always approved by you first).

Is financing available?

Yes, through Home Depot's consumer credit program. Your associate can walk you through the options.

What does the measure fee cover?

It covers the certified in-home measurement and report that lets you order materials correctly. If you proceed with the install, the measure fee is credited toward the total.

Is your work insured?

Yes — fully licensed, bonded, and insured. Certificates available on request; ask your Home Depot associate or email care@cooperinstallations.com.
